What Keşke is

Keşke calculates what a Turkish lira amount, paid monthly or once from a past month, would be worth at a later month in gold bullion, US dollars, euros, the BIST 100 index, Turkish government bonds (DİBS) or TL deposits, and how that compares with inflation. It also shows each of these assets' past returns over a period. It uses no accounts and costs nothing to use.

Not investment advice

Keşke shows hypothetical, historical results. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. It does not consider your situation, and past returns don't predict future returns. Keşke is not a licensed investment adviser, and it is not authorised by the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (SPK) or any other regulator to give investment advice. Talk to a licensed professional before making financial decisions.

The data and its limits

• Source: the figures come from TÜİK's monthly bulletin "Finansal Yatırım Araçlarının Reel Getiri Oranları" (Kaynak: TÜİK). TÜİK allows reuse of its data with attribution; TÜİK does not endorse Keşke. Keşke is not affiliated with TÜİK, Borsa İstanbul or OpenAI.
• Method: each payment is treated as bought at its month's average level and valued at the end month's average; real figures use TÜİK's consumer price index. Deposit figures are gross (before withholding tax) and compound monthly, BIST 100 excludes dividends, and no fees, buy-sell spreads or taxes are applied. Government bond figures start in January 2005.
• Accuracy: we compute carefully from TÜİK's published data, fill a small number of gaps in it from TÜİK's own quarterly figures, and correct obvious inconsistencies, but we can't guarantee the data or results are complete, current or free of errors. Real-world results would differ.

Acceptable use

Don't use Keşke to break the law, to overload or attack the service, or to copy its results in bulk by automated means. We may limit requests to keep the service available to everyone.

Availability and changes

We may change, pause or stop Keşke at any time. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.

No warranty; limitation of liability

Keşke is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, The Open Apps, Inc. is not liable for any loss arising from your use of Keşke or reliance on its results, including investment losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived, such as consumer protection laws in your country.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
